After spending sometime taking photos of graffitied laneways we ventured up to what is called the Paris end of the city.
I must admit before we left the city center I had to grab just a few of those last minute shots, I just couldn't resist this one
As I stood and looked at this sign, the image of Dame Edna flashed through my mind. it almost had as much bling around it as did the elusive glasses she wore.
Tell me why would there be shoes hanging from a pole in an laneway and how would they get there? Someone told me why they thought they were there, but I'm not going to say a word I will let you think about that one
Wow how often can you stand in the city and look around and say hey where have all the people gone.
It actually felt nice to be able to go for a walk and not feel the hustle and bustle of the city shoppers pushing and shoving you and then not bothering to even use that short word sorry.
As I stood with the cool breese blowing on me and as I brushed the hair away from my face so I could take this photo, I felt quite proud to be watching our great flag fly to and frow in the cool afternoon breeze
What a gloreous day to take in the Melbourne skyline, the sun was shinning brightly there were people scattered here and there. even a few couples rushing to get that good spot for their wedding photos. It was such a gorgeous day to take photos and I seized the chance after a night of rain.

As I walked up toward Government House the feeling I had of that end of town felt quite different to the centre of town. Did you know they call it the Paris end of the city. Oh yes, when you see the building and the shops you quite understand why it is called that, my throat was dry from the hot sun but I didn't dare buy a coffee for fear of seeing the price.

.
As I stood and looked at this old fence which was to the side of Government House, I could see where it had weathered a few storms the brick work was chipped and appeared not to have been restored.
This end of town had the most beautiful buildings and the most exquisite garden and to be able to take it all in without a care in the world really did feel nice.
