Clunes

This week proved to be a good one, thanks to my beloved who allowed me to use his birthday money to purchase a DSLR external flash for my camera, so I did the next kindest thing and ordered him a GoPro which was delivered a couple of days ago, much to his excitement. He was as  happy as a kid with a new toy when it arrived. Sadly it didn't come before the weekend when we went out, so hopefully he will be able to use it this coming weekend.

My lastest photography expedition was at a place called Clunes and surrounding areas, my beloved and I do some silly things, we drive down roads where we have no clue where it will end, sometimes made sometimes not. I think at times we see things that we would not usually see if we stuck to the highway

Lush countryside scattered with cows and sheep, tall gum trees slowly swaying in the breeze, a lone bird flies past squawking as it goes of into the distance. the sun shining through the clouds as you drive along that secluded road what a life.

The countryside is beginning to become green and lush again, but in a matter of months it will be dry again, as the warmer weather approaches us and the rain stays away. The nice green paddocks and hills will be a mass of yellow due to lack of rain.

The countryside is full of many old homes some lived in other left as the people move on to new and exciting things, they are left to rot over time. I often wonder what lies behind those walls, is there some old treasure they have left behind, what stories are locked between the walls which are only held up now by the old frail rusty nails. One will never know.

Cows are unusual creatures the only expression you can see on them is in their eyes, I had a friend laugh at me when I called them cute little baby cows, but yes they were so cute, as I stepped out of the car, they all made a mad dash to the fence like a group of young girls wanting to see their favorite pop star. They were pushing and shoving just to get a glimpse of me and I was lucky to be able to get a few great shots.

Moooooooooooo

I was also lucky enough to have a, hmm now what do you call them not a hurd of ponies, nope I don't think that's what you call them, if you know can you please tell me, these little ponies galloped over to me, I was unable to get close to them as there was an electric fence in the way. I was a bit disappointed by that as  you could see all they wanted was for you to pat them on the head. but ever so sweet

I have loads of photos which I wish I could share with you, but if I did that my blog would go on for days.

Life is at it's best, when I have my camera with me and my beloved by my side, the beautiful sun shinning down from above, makes for a good day and also makes you feel good.

Super Moon

This week has been a bit quiet for me, weekend consisted of doing nothing but lying around due to having the flu. then my week was the same quite un inventive due to still feeling unwell and having a horrible cough, which has stopped me going out with camera. Although it has given me plenty of time to watch Foxtel and catch up on a few shows which I tapped, that I could watch whilst no one was home to say hey turn that off not what I want to watch, how boring.

My beloved had a couple of days off work the week before, due to having a head cold, poor dear it was like his life had come too a sudden end and he would die of congestion in the head.

I was a bit naughty and wanted to brave the cold of my front yard and get a few photos of the super moon we had, now mind you I started this blog about a week ago and never got around to finishing it so forgive me. So out I went out in the cold, now it serves myself right that my cold didn't go away as quickly as I want it too, but a true photographer never wants to miss the chance of a good photo.

Lancefield

Your going to say it, yes here she goes again about the cold weather,Well I'm very sorry but I hate this weather it has been freezing. I have spent the last week at home in front of the heater working on the computer either doing my photos, blog or paper work which I loath so much. But without that heater I don't think I could function at all. Even though a couple of days the sun did manage to show it's face it didn't provide the warmth that I was longing for and I took solace in my heater.

I am so looking forward to the warmer weather where I can head down the coast for some great surfing shot, a day of sunshine is great for the soul.

After a lovely sleep in, in my nice warm bed and not wanting to place my toes on the cold carpet, I managed to climb out  and head off to the lounge to put the heater on and place the coffee on. The heater didn't do much to take the chill off the room, as it had been 1 degrees over night. I was hoping that the day would improve in warmth as I put on my coat and scarf on and headed to the car. Thank god hubbies ford has a great heater and in time I began to feel it's warmth filling the car as the sun shone through the window and we headed down the road and past Clarekfield.

I know we had been there before, but I wanted to head back to Lancefield as I wanted to get a few shots of the local wreckers yard again. Hubby did walk through the gate to see if we could go in and take a few photos but, no one was in sight, so the photos I got had to be taken outside, but never the less I was happy with what I captured. The old rusty bumper and the roof line that had been beaten in the weather over time, trucks, cars old and not so new sat idle for how long know one knows.

I thought after such a cold night we might even mange to be able to see some snow, but sadly there was none. Although there had been a few days before in surrounding areas and even last night there was snow in places but when we decided to go their what was there, not one drop anywhere only sunshine..
