The Sun Set

Here we are again, another season gone and we are now into Spring and so much closer to Christmas.
2018 has gone way too fast for my liking and so much has happened this year.
From the loss of my dear aunt to deciding we might sell the house, hubby being retrenched from his job, but I try not to let it put a damper on things and go out to my happy place with my friend the camera.

We recently decided at the spur of the moment to go down the coast  to  yes one of my favorite spots Point Lonsdale/Queenscliff,

As we sat in the car and ate fish and chips and watched the world pass by, I noticed something move in the ocean in front of us, I thought it was nothing then looked again and screamed to beloved, look, look a dolphin no not just one but three. I was so surprised as we had been to this spot many times but not seen anything so it was something very exciting.

I quickly jumped out of the car with camera in hand and snapped away as quick as I could before they swam away beyond the point and could not be seen.

I needed to head to the sand to feel it between my toes, so we drove  just a short distance down the road to Point Lonsdale where the big light house sat perched on the edge of the cliff waiting to guide the ships in at night.

We walked down the steps onto the sand, towards the rocks, until we could go no further, due to the tide coming in very fast over the rocks.  The sun began to set in the sky and with it's ever changing colours as it greeted the ocean.

Back into the car we went, to see if we could find the entrance to the beach on the other side of the rocks. Finally we found it  after walking along a sandy path we came to the most beautiful spot where we could sit and watch the sun setting, with the cool breeze of the night air gliding over our face, as the most glorious sunset painted the sky as it met the horizon line of the ocean.

It was very quiet, the only sound which could be heard was the waves rolling in over the sand and the occasional squawk of a bird flying over

The sky was a beautiful colour of orange, blue and purple as the sun set at the end of another glorious day. This place was just one of those places you could just sit for hours and do absolutely nothing for hours. Not a soul was about, expect for my beloved.

If you venture to this part of our beautiful country, I am quite sure that you will want to return again and again.

As our day was coming to an end, I felt sadness coming over me knowing that I would have to go home to the city, the hustle and bustle of the cars and people and leave the tranquillity of this place behind, until we return again in the not to distant future.

Making Memories

Where do I begin I have not been here for some time due to some un foreseen things, but we wont go into that, I wanted to share with you some of my beautiful photos I took when beloved and I went to a place call Malmsbury here in Victoria.

It was such a gorgeous Autumn day although the breeze was a bit chilly I managed to get some beautiful shots, the colours of the trees were amazing, bright yellows, reds and orange as they cast their reflection on the lake.

I had never seen this park in Malmsbury look so pretty, the colours seemed to paint the park so beautifully as the ducks lazed in the sun. The leaves made a crunching noise as we walked over them, the beautiful colours of the leaves layed out like a carpet beneath our feet.

With it's meandering path between the tall trees, which lead to the viaduct bridge with it's old bricks waiting for the next train to pass.

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary 1 October, and I look back at all the wonderful photos I've taken and all the places we have been to. My love for photography grows more each day. I look at things quite differently now. I see beauty in things most people don't, those who do not do photography do not understand me.

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding, where I was able to take some lovely photos, it was a beautiful day set in the Victorian countryside amongst the beautiful tall gum trees. As the band player strummed his guitar and played the pan flute and the drummer beat his drum, we watched the happy couple sway to the rhythm of the music, as they lovingly looked into each others eyes. I managed to capture the happy couple as the love in their eyes showed on such a special day.

The memories in the photos will last a life time for this couple, memories to show their children, grand children and many family and friends

I also had a lovely time capturing a beautiful young ladies 21st birthday, she celebrated with family and many beautiful friends dancing and laughing the night away.

I get so much pleasure taking photos for people, capturing the memories for them, which will last for a life time. Taking special photos even when the moment is forgotten, it is always recalled when one looks at the photos.

"Photography is the beauty of life, captured"
