When you go out with your camera, it is strange that you predominantly see males taking landscape photos.
Why is this? Is it because it is very time-consuming and women (some) have families to look after, the biggest thing that holds women back is the same reason as myself, we do not like to do this alone.
I think some places can be terrifying for a woman, especially when they are alone. I always like to have someone with me either male or female, plus the company is always good sometimes.
When I went out with my camera I always had my late beloved husband with me, we went to so many wonderful places in Victoria and we were even planning on going on a holiday before he suddenly passed.
My life has changed so much, I know my husband would be very happy that I still wanted to do my landscape photography, he would not want me to give it up. I have had my son with me a few times, but he isn't into taking photos, he would prefer to stay at home in front of his computer gaming.
It's hard when most of your friends are not interested in what you do, and sadly if asked to come with me they would most likely say no.
Recently I did go out with my camera, it was hard not having my husband with me, his love and support were always something that helped me. We would sit on the beach or in the car having lunch and just enjoying the amazing view which was in front of us at the time.
I went with my son and we went to Jan Juc and Torquay, it was such a beautiful day. I got many photos which my husband would be very proud of me doing.
Hope you enjoy these two videos
