I had already decided on my subject after taking a look at the net and great places to photograph, I was drawn back to those beautiful old laneways which held so many secrets. One would think the laneways around the city of Melbourne wouldn't be to appealing to the eye, but no way quite a different story, they are beautiful and I think they are slowly becoming my favourite place to venture when in town. There are so many things to see in the laneways and each one is quite different and each holds its own beauty.
The laneways are beautiful and as I looked about I could see many strangers in awe of the graffiti on the walls of old buildings. Some of the graffiti was beautiful others not so, but each piece of graffiti had its own story to tell.
As I looked at the shoes which lay on the bench I began to wonder who did they belong to was it a girl or boy.
What a beautiful way to have your wedding photos taken, as one couple did with the back drop of these old buildings with graffiti.
Let’s just call this one the light at the end of the lane.
I think these laneways are so pretty with their outdoor cafes and old world charm.
I have lots more photos which can be found at www.flickr.com/photos/ezycardz if I put them all on here I will be here for hours. I could prattle on about how these beautiful laneways made me feel. I felt like I was in another world far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city streets. Tell me why would you go into the big streets when you could walk through these parts of town. I must admit I'm not one of those people who enjoys shopping. I seem to only go when I really have too; there are far more fun and exciting things to do than shopping for shoes or food. I'd much rather be out with my camera taking in the feel and ambience of what beauty lays before me. Shopping holds no beauty for me it is all about the mighty dollars and what you can get for what price, but enough of that who cares about that, what I'm about to show is far more interesting than a shop full of food.
I also wanted to share with you some great shots my hubby took, although by the end of his photo shoot he was quite angry as he had borrowed our daughter’s camera and once again he was left with no camera due to the batteries dying. I can understand how he felt as one day I went out and yes I was so angry with myself for not putting the memory back in my camera after saving all my photos, so this time I have a spare memory in my camera bag, but I wont continue on about that I'm quite sure you would love to see the lovely shots my hubby took today.
