My Photos

It's been awhile since I was last here, with doing my graphic design and photos in between, one day seems to roll into another, then another, then another and before you know it 3 months has slipped by before you even know it, it is almost Christmas again.

Putting that aside I have been out clicking with my trusted camera, and developing my love of photography. I was lucky enough to be asked twice, to do a model shoot for my daughter's uni, and the outcome was awesome, considering those that know me know I am not a people photographer BUT a landscape photographer, and the results speak for themselves.
These shots are all about the model and not the subject behind, trying to make the model look the best I can, making the models look and feel relaxed and like they were having a day of fun. Some were easier to photograph than others, but for me, it was taking me out of my comfort zone into something new and fun.

Beloved had become so excited, over the past few months he has been working on his beloved Ford, when he got it back  from the mechanic he had to take it out on the road, not just any road but the Great Ocean Road here in Victoria, I was like wow, no not wow about the car but for the opportunity to be able to get my camera out again and click away. Shhh, let's keep that as our secret, we won't tell hubby that I thought more about taking photos than his car.

It was a gorgeous day, the sun was shining the sky was the most beautiful blue and the breeze was fresh as we drove down the Great Ocean Road, people were everywhere, taking in such a beautiful day, walking hand in hand with loved ones or running after giggling children, but all I wanted to do was click away with my camera. The window wide open with my hair blowing in the breeze as I took in the most beautiful scenery you could ever see in Victoria. The rolling waves coming in over the rocks to greet the beautiful golden sand as a child ran in and out of the water. Surfers waited for that wave to come in so they could catch it and glide to the shore.
I waited a few minutes with my big lens (150-500mm) on the camera looking like a real cool professional photographer as everyone walked past me and had a look. Even though it is quite heavy I did manage to get a few good shots of the surfers.

We traveled all the way from Torquay to Apollo Bay, which is about a four hours drive, you don't seem to notice the distance when the view is so beautiful. We had traveled a further almost two hours prior to getting to our destination, but beloved wasn't too fussed as he was happy to be in his  newly renovated car. That aside I have been clicking away with my trusted camera and developing my love of taking photographs and managed to get some great shots, I love my 24-105mm lens and seem to now use that much more than any of my other lenses, which now just sit in my camera bag doing nothing. I have so many photos I've taken over time, but my most favorite ones are all taken somewhere along the Great Ocean Road of the beach. As I have said many times before the love of the beach in me grows more and more and so does the love of my camera, where I can capture something and make it stay the same for the rest of my life.
Anglesea Beach, such a beautiful place, a place where you can sit on the sand and just take in what is around you and create beautiful memories which will last a lifetime.

You can travel along the long windy Great Ocean Road and see so many beautiful beaches, as we drove along it I took a deep breath and wished that the world would stop and I could stay here forever.

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about
finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has
little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way
you see them.”
