I was going to do this blog a week ago but sadly I ended up in bed with the flu and spent 5 days sleeping the effects of it away.
It is now the middle of September and I cannot believe where the year has gone, one week blends into two them three and four, then the month is over and Christmas will be here before we know it and I will be fighting again with the crowds in the shops, trying to find that bargain and that special gift for my kids. Then once Christmas is over the new year begins 2016. I cannot believe how fast life goes by, it feels like only yesterday I was sitting upon Santa's knee telling him how I wanted that puppy and doll for Christmas.
Christmas feels so different now that the kids are adults, none of the Santa excitement any longer and having them wake up just as the sun was showing it's face on Christmas day, and seeing the joy on their faces as they saw what Santa had bought them.
One day I hope my own kids can feel the same joy when they have their own little ones, hearing their laughter and seeing the happy smiles upon their faces.
Well my photography keeps me busy and also my graphic design, I have been designing lots of watermarks as well as business cards which I enjoy doing. I have many happy customers which you can see on my fb page from their reviews on my work.

I'd been trying my hand at macro photography not something I do a lot of but I thought why not give it a go I have the lens. I must admit it isn't as easy as I thought it would be and I have become to enjoy it very much as you will see from my photos.
We decided to take a trip to a place called Castlemaine, which is about 1 1/2 hours from where we live, It is a very old country town with pretty old houses and a lovely park with a lake and a few ducks.I was keen to get out of the car and take my camera with me to capture what lay around me.
With the willows weeping towards the ground and gently swaying in the cool breeze made a lovely photograph.
I love going out with my camera, if I take 200 photos I'd be happy to get at least one good photo I could show you all. I used to get really upset if I came home with only one good photo, but over time I have learnt well one good photo is better than nothing at all and I can try again.
I read recently that even the most professional and best photographers have bad days just like we do and not all their photos are worth showing off, that made me feel a million times better knowing that. It made me think we are not all perfect and that was a good thought.
I like to use my 18 - 55 mm lens unless I want too zoom in close or zoom out a long way. I have 6 lenses to choose from, so not always an easy choice.
I never plan to photograph any thing special, if it catches my eye then you will hear me clicking away. I find it quite relaxing just going somewhere taking in the fresh air and relaxing with my camera, oh and not to forget my beloved by my side.
Castelmaine is within the gold field area, maybe hubby should borrow a metal detector and find that piece of gold for me. what ya think? Then I could photograph it and show you all. I'd be rich then bwahaha.
We walked through the park watching a mother duck with her ducklings glide slowly across the lake, as I took photos of what was around me.
The breeze was cool as I pushed my hair away from my face, as I tried to take a photo.
I'd always loved photography, I remember going to the neighbours house as a kids and sitting on her couch with her and a box over flowing with photos of her family young and old and even a couple of me popped up. Times have changed greatly and so have cameras, even when I look back at my own work I can see where my own work has come from, even though I still love to take photos of the beach and the waves and everyone who knows me knows this is my passion.
So this day I decided to try my hand at macro again, something I'm no expert at but I'm willing to give anything a try, as someone recently said to me you are good at what you do so you will master macro and I'm quite sure of this. Hmmm not sure it will be in the near future but yes I may one day master it.
So I tried to get a few shots of bees and in the photo group I'm in I had seen some awesome macro shots of bees and hoped that I could get something even 1/2 as good as what these people in photo group took. Well you can make your own mind up on these two photos I took..
These are just a few other shots I took on the same day.
