My photography has taken me to many places. Recently we ventured to Jan Juc where I took my tri-pod and my 150-500 mm lens with me to take some of the best surfing pics I had ever taken, although it was a very cold day it didn't dampen anything and I was quite excited to be able to get out and get some shots. The week before we took a trip to Middle Brighton Beach, it was equally as cold as the following week when we went to Jan Juc. I got some really nice shots of the bathing boxes to which I have one for sale but I will list that a bit further down.
The bathing boxes are beautifully maintained.not sure what they keep inside, maybe a BBQ or a few beach towels and a few deck chairs one would only know this if you owned one.
Jan Juc Surf Beach
Those that know me know my first love is the beach, and I was so excited to be able to use my long lens. I had three surfers come up to me and ask if I had a business card and from the mouth of one who designs business cards and logos for people, did not have her own business card. I have since designed one which I will be able to hand out soon.
It was such a cold day at Jan Juc, whilst I watched beloved shiver beneath his coat and hat and his nose turn a pretty pink with cold. I set up my tri-pod and waited for the perfect shot. The waves for surfing where few and far between and as the surfers just sat on their boards and waited, I stood and waited as well. Then all of a sudden one great wave came along as I watched the surfer paddle out on his board, I could feel the anticipation he was feeling as the wave made it's crest and he jumped up on the board to dive in and out of the cold wave that was in front of him and to ride the wave to shore, How spectacular was this to be followed by another wave with another surfer only to have him fall off, wipe out as it's called. I watched all this through my camera so as not to miss a shot, I was able to zoom in quite close which was nice. Hopefully soon we can venture back down to Jan Juc and surrounding beaches and I can use my long lens again, as the days will be getting longer and the sun will be staying up later and I will be able to sit on the sand eating fish and chip with my beloved, oh and not to forget the seagulls. lol
I've been working on my website this week which will be up very soon so stay tuned.
