Experience My Artwork

I haven't written a blog for such a long time. It's been very hard for me as I have been grieving the loss of my husband. I can not believe it has just been two years since he left me.

In that time I have been out a couple of times with my camera, which I did really enjoy it, it gave me time to reflect, and I have slowly started to pick the pieces up and get my life in order, plus my church family has helped me in so many ways, which I am so grateful for.

I have been doing many different things and am now dabbling a bit into this new Ai and making images with it as well as using photoshop and many other programs I have on my computer.

I love designing and editing these images to just the way I want with one of my programs which I have on my computer. My imagination seems to go wild when I do these. It gives me so much pleasure to see what I can see in my mind, and have it come together on my computer.
I have always loved to draw from a young age and this to me is just an extension of what I enjoy doing.

If you have something in your mind and you would like me to design it for you, please contact me, I'd love to help you bring it together.

If I didn't put my heart and soul into my images they wouldn't be as beautiful.
I am able to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of what is possible. I add my own creative touches in making them very unique and my own.

Not just my photos are for sale but I am now trying to sell my AI images Please let me know if you are interested any  particular pieces. You can contact me at @EzycardzGraphicDesigns on fb or Instagram.

Enjoy!

I am a Landscape Photographer

When you go out with your camera, it is strange that you predominantly see males taking landscape photos.

Why is this? Is it because it is very time-consuming and women (some) have families to look after, the biggest thing that holds women back is the same reason as myself, we do not like to do this alone.

I think some places can be terrifying for a woman, especially when they are alone. I always like to have someone with me either male or female, plus the company is always good sometimes.
When I went out with my camera I always had my late beloved husband with me, we went to so many wonderful places in Victoria and we were even planning on going on a holiday before he suddenly passed.

My life has changed so much, I know my husband would be very happy that I still wanted to do my landscape photography, he would not want me to give it up. I have had my son with me a few times, but he isn't into taking photos, he would prefer to stay at home in front of his computer gaming.
It's hard when most of your friends are not interested in what you do, and sadly if asked to come with me they would most likely say no.

Recently I did go out with my camera, it was hard not having my husband with me, his love and support were always something that helped me. We would sit on the beach or in the car having lunch and just enjoying the amazing view which was in front of us at the time.

I went with my son and we went to Jan Juc and Torquay, it was such a beautiful day. I got many photos which my husband would be very proud of me doing.

Hope you enjoy these two videos

We had a great day walking the two beaches eating fish and chips whilst the seagulls surround us, begging us to share at least one with them.

I have been to so many places with my camera but I tell you, I do not see women with cameras it is men you see taking photos with long lenses of whatever is around them.

I can't think of anything better than being out in the fresh air, taking in the sunshine and going to see so many beautiful places, whether it be a bush track or the beautiful beach with the sand between your toes, or the cool ocean lapping at the sides of your feet.

Photography is wonderful, as you can remember a beautiful place, even after many years of it changing over time, you can look back on the photos and see what it was like years before.

When you're long gone, the only thing the people after you will have, are the photos you have left behind.

I'd love to read your comments so don't forget to leave me one.

A New Year

2023 has started and it is 4 1/2 months since I lost my husband, life has changed so much that I have only been out once since he passed with my camera. I have been home working on my graphic design business which I've had since 2016.

I have been designing logos. Over the years and I have done many watermarks for photographers worldwide, which has been great fun, as I love creating them and seeing the final designs going to a very happy customer.

Below are some of the samples I have designed that are for sale, or I can design something which suits your needs.

Looking for branding, and/or graphic design

that won’t break the bank? You’ve come to the right place.

These logos below are what I have done for happy customers

If you need business cards, I can also design them for you, I can place your logo onto the card as well.

When I do my designs, I work closely with the client to get the design and colour to exactly what they want, I love knowing the client is happy with what I have done for them, and they are proud to show the design for all to see.

Graphic designs such as logos, brochures, business cards, etc. are extremely important to build the brand identity of a business.

I have also done some work for a local cafe, which is now displayed on their wall

For further information please contact me, I would be very happy to help you with your graphic design needs.

Revisiting old memories & making new ones

Here I am again with only 3 days till Father Christmas comes,  before I know it, the year will be over and 2022 will be upon us with lots of new things.

2021 was another hard year with the loss of my father in law, then lockdown which lasted for months.
it also had many good things as well, with getting ready to start the build of our new house in the new year, reconnecting with old friends and getting out of lockdown and being able to take my camera out again, and making lots of new memories.

I felt the joy of freedom as we went out again, I was able to head once again down the Great Ocean Road.
The car was packed camera ready batteries charged tripod in and off we go, zooming down the road.

The Great Ocean Road is such an amazing road to drive along, with its twist and turns you see so many different things every time you go down that way.

Our last trip this way before the lockdown was back in March 2021. We managed to make it a great day even though it rained off and on all day. People often say when it rains why bother taking photos, you won't get good shots in all that rain. I can tell you that they are very wrong. I have seen lots of great photos taken in the rain.

This day we went to Jan Juc, Point Addis and Torquay. The sky may have been very overcast but the formation of the clouds was amazing, so never let anyone tell you don't take photographs in the rain.

Point Addis

Torquay Beach

We have been back along the Great Ocean Road a few times since we came out of lockdown, We decided to head to Teddys Lookout on this occasion, I'm always trying to find new things to photograph. This spot was lovely, when you stood at the lookout you could see the ocean and the Great Ocean Road running beside it and how windy it really is, it was an amazing spot where you could see the changing colours of the ocean from the horizon line to the shore.
Every time we go down this way we always see something different, the colours of the ever-changing sky, the waves and of course my photos are never the same. The car ends up with endless amounts of sand in it, which was destined to come home with us to remind us of the day we had.
I'm not sure of all the names of each and every beach along the Great Ocean Road as there are so many, one day I might learn them all.

Photos are taken from Teddys Lookout at Lorne

A short drive to the top end of George Street at the back of Lorne is the scenic spot known as Teddy’s Lookout, it is a very easy walk not far from the carpark. As we started our walk I had to duck my head a few times as the magpies swooped down on humans invading their nice quiet spot. A lone Cockatiel wandered around looking for food. I even managed to get a couple of photos until the magpies scared it away.

We then drove to the beautiful spot Split Point it is just over and hours drive from Torquay, and well worth going to.

As I walked onto the beach the sun was glistening on the water and I felt very much at peace with my surroundings. I could hear the waves crashing on the rocks as it rolled onto the shore. The sun was warm on my face but the breeze was cool as it swept past me as I buttoned my coat up around my neck. I focused my camera for the perfect shot, the sun was in a perfect spot and the water sparkled like I'd never seen it before. I just stood and looked in awe at the beautiful sight around me. It was the end of Spring and almost Summer and the last of the cold weather was leaving us for nice sunny days which I longed for.

As I looked around for my next photo I wished that time stood still and I could stay here for ever.

After spending such a long time at Split Point, I had to drag myself away, we headed tack o Point Addis. The sun was beginning to set and the colours painted the sky beautifully Our last stop before we headed home.
