The End Of The Pier

Well it has been an eventful weekend with my last post and now this one, I've been out and about all weekend snapping away. I had in mind today that I wanted to get a great shot of a pier located at the beach, after seeing on the net so many great shots of the beach and the surroundings I had decided that I wanted to try and do the same thing.

Today was just as cold as the night before and as I put on my coat and scarf, I panned the area to see what was beyond me. Lots of clean white sand, a pier with a few people walking  backwards and forward, a couple of very tall pine trees and a lone child digging in the sand as the father stood back and watched and dared not step onto the sand for fear of getting sand in his shoes. Life was very peaceful here all quiet except for the sound of the waves lapping on the bottom of the pier and a few lone seagulls squawking when someone ran past with food.

As I stood on the edge of the sand looking out towards the horizon I saw the most beautiful rainbow, and as I've said before rainbows are quite hard to take as sometimes the colours don't come out right, well you can see for yourself how it came out.

I was more eager to see what sort of photographs I could get of the pier rather than of the rainbow. As I watched and waited for the people to move out of view I was able to get a few great shots.

You can see I wanted to capture quite different images this week, I wanted to capture the uniqueness of the wood in the pier, and where the levels of the water rises and falls. I wanted to capture the reflection that was on the water as the waves rolled in onto the sand. all captured so beautifully in my photos a memory which will last for ever.
